Where Are They Now? | February 2026 | By Samantha Henderson

Meet Hannah Langley,
Hannah is an Alumni Member from the Granite Mountain FFA Chapter, located in the heart of Salt Lake City. Hannah now works for Dairy West as the Manager of Nutrition Partnerships.

Hannah did not grow up with a background in or around agriculture. She was introduced to the organization while taking vet assisting classes through Granite Technical Institute. Kristen Hansen was the teacher who introduced Hannah to FFA. Hannah took an equine science class from Kristen and said, “that class seriously changed my life.” Hannah was excited to join FFA because it gave her an opportunity to learn, experience, and develop skills in agriculture and leadership.
Hannah’s favorite memories from FFA were traveling with her classmates and FFA Advisors. “There were loads of fun to be had on busses to Snow College for FFA Field Day, USU for State Convention, and particularly attending National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky! Hearing from National Officers and meeting other FFA students from around the U.S. was inspiring and allowed me to connect and learn from others who have different experiences.”
Hannah was able to create friendships on FFA trips and as a chapter officer. Hannah would like to recognize Sarah Rezendes “my friend and fellow chapter officer, being a chapter officer was 10x more fun with you and I'm so glad we became friends through class and bus rides together - those memories are some of my favorites!”
Hannah attended the University of Utah and took a ‘Cultural Aspects of Food’ class that showed her how food is a deeply rooted part of our personal culture and community and is a connection point to others. Through that class, she learned that she could take her love of health, fitness, food, nutrition, and helping people, and turn it into a career as a Registered Dietitian. Hannah graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition. She then completed her Master's Degree in Nutrition and Integrative Physiology and became a Registered Dietitian.
Hannah is the Manager of Nutrition Partnerships at Dairy West. In this position, she leads performance nutrition initiatives for high school, collegiate, and Olympic teams and partners. She also assists with nutrition student dairy farm tours and health professional events throughout Utah.
“I am deeply appreciative to now be working in a position where nutrition directly intersects with agriculture. My favorite part of my job is being able to use my skills and experience to inspire trust in dairy amongst my fellow health professionals. After all, ag has a major role in health, performance nutrition, food security, and many other areas that health professionals have a hand in. Without our hardworking farmers and their teams, we wouldn't have food!”
FFA helped Hannah develop leadership skills and confidence early on, which was instrumental to pursing a competitive graduate program. Hannah says, “Mock interviews and public speaking were definitely scary at first, but I've used those skills ALL THE TIME during my educational and professional career! I even co-presented with a fellow dietitian at the annual Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics conference in 2024 in front of hundreds of dietitians and nutrition students.”
Hannah’s advice for current FFA members and/or high school students thinking about joining FFA is that “FFA can only improve to your life. You never know where it will take you or when it will add to your life in the future! It was definitely helpful to have ag experience when I applied to my current job, which is pretty niche for the dietetic field.”
