Bradie Jill Anderson

Where Are They Now? | March 2026 | By Samantha Henderson

Meet Bradie Jill Anderson,

A North Summit FFA Alumni Member, Miss Rodeo Utah 2022, business owner, and advocate for agriculture. She says everything she’s done has required grit and she developed grit through FFA.

Bradie Jill Anderson

The year before starting high school, Bradie was at her next-door neighbors – who had a computer (it was 2008 okay!) and the neighbor was helping Bradie register for classes for her freshman year. Bradie had a gap in her schedule and her neighbor suggested that she fill it with a floriculture class. Bradie says, “I owe so much to that seemingly small moment – it set me on the path to FFA and shaped not just my high school experience, but my life beyond it.”

While in FFA, Bradie placed 2nd at State Creed Speaking and was a State Winner in Prepared Public Speaking, Employment Skills, and Parliamentary Procedure.

Bradie’s says, “My favorite FFA memory is one that still makes me giggle to this day. Our State Winning Parliamentary Procedure team was made up of entirely girls, but not just any girls – sassy, driven, opinionated, and competitive girls. Together, we were unstoppable. We practiced for months to prepare for National Convention and were thrilled to advance through each level of competition. We were about to walk onto the stage for the Final Four. To calm our nerves and have a laugh, we began balling up our fists like horse hooves and trotting around pretending to be horses. Maybe the hilarity of this moment doesn’t translate to paper, but it was absolutely hilarious in the moment and cut through the immense amount of competition pressure that had been building for months. We walked onto the stage with a big smile where we gave our all-time best demonstration! When looking back, sure the 4th place banner is nice, but it’s those sweet, silly memories that really stand out. Even 13 years later, that same group of
‘parli girls’ and our dedicated ag teacher, Mrs. Silcox, still get together for dinner every chance we get.”

After high school, Bradie attended the University of Utah where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Political Science. After graduation, she worked as a documentary filmmaker for a local nonprofit in Italy and Africa. Bradie also spent time working on the Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s election campaign. From there, she transitioned into journalism, first as a local news reporter and later as sports reporter for the Cowboy Channel and RFDTV. All these experiences culminated in Bradie winning the title of Miss Rodeo Utah 2022, which gave her the incredible opportunity to represent the western way of life throughout Utah and across the Nation.

Today, Bradie wears many hats! She founded her beef and bison business, Roamstead Ranch in 2022. She also works as a ranchland Realtor in Southern Idaho and Northern Utah. In addition, she and her husband work as backcountry hunting outfitters and social media content creators. She also does some freelance marketing, including projects for her local senator. Bradie also serves as the Utah FFA Parliamentary Procedure Host!

Bradie says, “I love each of these roles because they allow me, in different ways, to serve and protect agriculture – whether it’s educating the public about the meat they put on their plates, helping keep ranch properties intact, or sharing the stories of local agriculture with our policymakers.”

Bradie says everything she has done required grit, and she developed grit in FFA while competing and serving. Her favorite part of work and the many hats she wears is being able to use her voice, which she first found in FFA. She uses her voice to serve others and to make a positive impact in her home and community. Bradie says, “If I hadn’t ended up in that floriculture class by chance, my life would likely look very different, which is why I’m so grateful for the serendipity that led me to the life I live now, and that serendipity was FFA.”

Bradie’s advice to students thinking about joining FFA or already in FFA is, “Opportunities like this don’t come along often, so saddle up and get going! FFA is your chance to take your GOOD and make it better and take your BETTER and make it the very BEST it can be!”
