Bailee Galt
Where Are They Now? | May 2025 | By Samantha Henderson

Meet Bailee (Argyle) Galt,
Former Spanish Fork FFA member and 2017-2018 Utah FFA State Sentinel. Bailee is a full-time mama to her busy little boy but also works and stays busy on their family farm.

Growing up, Bailee had always heard of FFA. She saw family members and friends doing so many great and fun events in FFA. In junior high, she remembers the Spanish Fork Chapter Officers and the State Officers visit her class and after that, she was hooked! “I was ready to join and get the blue jacket as soon as I was able.”
Bailee has always loved to try new things so whenever her advisor said she should try a CDE or LDE she was up for it! Bailee participated in Parliamentary Procedure, Horse Evaluation, Floriculture, and Food Science. Bailee said, “trying all these different competitions showed me that you don’t know if you like it until you try it.” She had a lot of fun seeing different sides agriculture and how it affects every aspect of our lives.
Bailee served as the 2017-2018 Utah FFA State Sentinel. Her year as a State Officer was packed with many events, lots of travel, making new friends, and creating an impact. Bailee loved everything about her year as a State Officer, but one thing she’ll never forget is the chapter visits she was able to go on. “Seeing all the different chapters and those members and just seeing the excitement they had for this organization. Watching those chapter officers make an impact on their members and even community” was an amazing experience. Bailee said getting handwritten cards, notes, or letters from members from the chapters she visited was her favorite and she still has every single one she received.
After serving as a State Officer, Bailee got engaged to her high school sweetheart, Cooper - who was also an FFA member. She also started working at Arrowhead Large Animal Vet Clinic. How Bailee got the position at the Vet Clinic is a funny story. She was helping her future father-in-law get his bulls Trich Tested and her father-in-law mentioned to the Vet that Bailee needed a job and she “loved this”. Within the next few days, Bailee had an interview and started working at the clinic the next week. Bailee “loved working at the Vet Clinic and being around agriculture each day and being able to help people with their livestock.”
Bailee married into the Galt family. Their family has a passion for agriculture and livestock! They do custom feeding for feed lot heifers, bulls, and steers. They have their own herd of cattle and some land to help feed and keep their livestock happy. They also own a 30+ sow operation. At Galt Farms Genetics, they sell show pigs to 4-H and FFA members throughout the United States.
For the last three years, Bailee has been able to stay home with their little boy. They spend lots of time working and helping on the farm and with the animals. Bailee says, “It’s a great experience to be raising kids in agriculture.”
When asked how FFA helped or influenced where she is now, Bailee said, “FFA has given me many things, I’m not even sure where to start. The opportunities that are in this organization are endless and I’m so glad I was able to partake in those. It’s taught me how to be me and be confident in myself. How to be a leader that people need and how to connect with people but also fall more in love with agriculture. It’s given me stories and experiences I get to share with people and help them with their personal journey.”
Bailee is passionate about supporting local FFA chapters and is always eager to lend a hand. Whether it’s helping members prepare for officer positions or assisting with stock show projects, she’s ready to get involved in any way she can. Bailee is committed to staying active and making a positive impact.
To anyone thinking about joining FFA, Bailee says, “Don’t be afraid to try new things. You don’t know until you try it. There is no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the grown zone. Sometimes you won’t be the best at it the first time, keep trying because you will only get better.”
